Dickson is a summer only, community swimming club. It encourages participation in swimming by people of all ages, and provides an entry point to higher level competitive swimming.

The Club operates out of Dickson Aquatic Centre and is an affiliated member of the ACT and NSW Swimming associations.

Our main activities are:

• A weekly swimming night, held on Friday evenings from 6.00pm - 7.00pm, which involves various timed events, sometimes handicapped.
  
• Weekly training session during the summer season - (with a break over the Christmas/New Year period). Training sessions are held on Sundays from:
    (a)  9:00 - 9:30am for beginners;
  
    (b)  9:15am for warm-ups;
    (c)  9:30 - 10:30am for intermediate to advanced swimmers.
  
  Accredited, qualified coaches take the Sunday Morning Coaching Clinic.

Membership Fees
Membership is for the twelve months from October 1, to September 30, though swimming activities only extend to March, when Dickson Aquatic Centre closes. Membership of the Club is on an individual basis, however the membership fee is based on the number of people in the family joining the club as follows:

One person:	$35
Two people:	$55
Three people:	$70
Every additional person:	$15

(less $11 NSW affiliation fee if already affiliated through another swimming club)

 *Please note that normal admission fees for the Aquatic Centre apply when attending club activities.

Registration with the ACT & NSW swimming associations
For an additional fee, club members can become eligible to compete swimmers with the Associations. This entitles swimmers to participate in the many inter-club swimming meets organised by these associations and their affiliated clubs.
